Other than the general life stuff, today I mainly focused on my current painting. It was pretty much all I had the energy to do, as I am still a bit wiped out from last night's events.
We went out to see fireworks, but it wasn’t in a wildly crowded location. The event was hosted by one of the state parks, which provided a way to view the fireworks being launched by surrounding areas in a near-360 view. There was also a bit of hiking involved. We didn’t get home til after 10pm, and this was generally a bit more excitement than I am used to.
So painting today - a piece with lava flowing into the ocean. I think it's nearly complete, just some minor detailing left to do. I'll probably set it aside for a bit to glance at and see if anything stands out. The red line bordering one of the lava flows bothers me, so I already know I'll be altering that. Til tomorrow.
