Welcome! I teach basic needle felting techniques, write fiber processing guides, provide tutorials, and blog about whatever comes to mind (including homeschooling my two kids and my life in general). Oh, and I make things too!
This website is completely free to use, and has multiple free guides and tutorials available on the site, with many more planned in the future. I don’t, and never will, allow advertisers - companies who pay me to appear on my site. I also do not have any form of a subscription service for exclusive updates or content. I do sell a few tutorials for profit in my shop, but the majority of what I publish is free for anyone who visits. The website does cost money to keep it running, plus countless hours on my behalf to research, write, create guides and tutorials, and keep everything as up to date as humanly possible.
For many years, I’ve linked to websites and products without earning a penny for those referrals to share products with you that I thought would benefit you in your creative journey. This is why I opted to become an affiliate. On your end, nothing’s different. I continue to promote the products and services that I think will benefit you, but now those merchants pay me a small commission for having referred you to them should you make a purchase within a certain time frame. This is at no extra cost to you. As much as I’d love to earn the 6 figures that some affiliate bloggers manage to pull in, I have no intention of ever becoming an affiliate blogger (people who choose products with high commission rates and write blog posts simply for the purpose of promoting those products). Realistically, I would like this website to be cost-neutral (pay for itself). Ideally, I’ll have a little extra spending money to purchase tools and supplies which I can then use to create more valuable content for you.
As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
I am also an affiliate of:
I may also opt to, at times, join other affiliate programs (which I will list here as I join them). If I use and really like (or even love) a product or service that is relevant to the scope of this blog, and the site that sells that product or service happens to have an affiliate program, I will opt to sign up for it.
The nice thing about affiliate programs is that I have full control over which products or services I choose to promote.
You may also on occasion see affiliate links to other services I use, especially on my homeschool posts. If I recommend something of that nature, it’s because I use it myself. Your trust (and my personal integrity) is important to me, and I would not, in good conscience, recommend anything that I don’t think is worth your hard-earned money.
