Whimsy Houses Needle Felting Tutorial
Whimsy Houses Needle Felting Tutorial
Learn to needle felt your own whimsy houses wool painting with this fun tutorial! (Skill Level: Beginner - Intermediate)
PS - There is no music playing while I am talking, it's just in the preview.
Who doesn’t love whimsy? Follow along with me with just over three hours of video instruction as we make an adorable, 2D wool painting of whimsy houses under an evening sky!
The tutorial also comes with the PDF templates, both round and square (for those who want to frame it differently), so no drawing skills are necessary. You may try using a lightbox to trace your template onto your felt, but I highly recommend investing in an iron-on transfer pen. This would allow you to trace the back of the printed out template, and using a hot iron, transfer it directly to your material of choice.
This listing is for the tutorial only, without the accompanying kit. Nothing will be shipped to you. When purchased, you will be emailed a link to the PDF instructions on how to access the tutorial on this site. When you click on the link in the email, the PDF will be downloaded to your computer or phone. If you wanted to get the tutorial with the kit included, click here instead.
There is no expiration on the tutorial access info itself, so if you wanted to buy this as a gift for someone ahead of time, you can definitely do so. Just make sure you download the PDF within 24 hours, and gift the PDF file to the recipient (for example, print it out and stick it in an envelope, or put it on a cute little flash drive and wrap it in a tiny box).
This is also an excellent option for my overseas patrons, as this way you can avoid any customs fees. I list the colors and supplies I use on the tutorial page, so if you have any local fiber shops you love to support, you can order your fiber locally.
Last, but not least, this is also a great option for my vegan and wool-allergic friends. You don’t have to use wool to do this tutorial. Follow my guide on how to get fiber that is not derived from animals, choose a fabric (such as a polyester felt) and follow along with the videos.
